Fort McMurray Doula Association

The Fort McMurray Doula Association was created to be a resource for people to find and meet local Doulas who are happy to support you and your decisions during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

We are professionally trained Birth and Postpartum Doulas. We offer prenatal education, birth support, postpartum information and assistance to families throughout the pregnancy. Our goal is to help you make informed choices about the birth and first weeks of life with your new baby and help you walk away from your experience feeling empowered. We appreciate the transition from woman to mother and facilitate the process as much as you allow us.

It is important to note that we are not midwives and we do not provide any clinical care. The information we present to you is evidence based but is not intended to replace that of your health care provider.

As Doulas, we are active members in the community and provide a free prenatal class once a month. Birth Choices is a five part rotating series of prenatal information sessions held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm.

We are always open to have Doulas join our group. If you are interested in being a part of our organization please email us.
