Originally from Vaughan, Ontario, Lydia has made Fort McMurray her home since 2013. She is a proud Mama to a spirited little girl named Aubree and shares her journey with her loving husband Cory. Lydia studied Developmental Services and has since worked in a variety of helping professions, most recently as a Community Outreach Worker, supporting local youth.
Lydia was inspired to complete her Doula training in 2015, after she had attended the birth of her nephew. During that experience, she was able to witness the support a Doula could provide and the value it held for a birthing mother to feel unconditionally supported and cared for. Lydia believes that pregnancy and birth is a life changing and sacred experience to be cherished. She brings knowledge, compassion, respect and dedication to support the families she works with. Lydia’s goal as your doula is to provide continuous comfort emotionally, spiritually and physically during this powerful and memorable journey.
